HISTORY: In the southernmost corner of Sicily, we find the typical Carob tree. The carob can be found between mid-August and the end of October. The mild climate and the specificities of the Sicilian soil mean that the carobs grown in this area are a concentrate of nutrients and well-being, which nutritionists recommend consuming daily.
Carob flour is a gluten-free product, an excellent source of proteins, provides slow-release carbohydrates and contains magnesium, potassium and other vitamins and is low in fat.
